July 21, 2015 - Ridge Meadows, BC: The Ridge Meadows Division of Family Practice recently launched a website to help local residents find doctors in their community who are accepting new patients. Patients who live in Maple Ridge and are looking for a doctor can visit www.findadoctormapleridge.ca. Patients who live in Pitt Meadows can visit www.findadoctorpittmeadows.ca.
If there are family physicians in the community who are accepting patients, they will be listed on the website. There may not always be doctors who are taking new patients, but it is hoped that this will be a valuable resource for people in the community who are trying to find a doctor.
“The creation of this website will help residents of Ridge Meadows locate GPs taking patients in their area,” said Health Minister Terry Lake.”This is one example of many collaboration projects taking place between the Provincial Government and the Doctors of BC to support improved access in primary health care.” Read the full press release
