Everyone agrees that health care is a priority for British Columbians, and most would agree there are many challenges facing our health-care system. Usually, a lack of funding is deemed to be the culprit behind all our health-care woes.
But could the funding conversation be distracting us from the real issue? Could it be that funding is just one piece of a very complicated puzzle?
Perhaps the current system should be re-evaluated to provide better outcomes for patients, communities and our overall level and quality of care.
